Artists In Residence
Erin Hawkins (b. 1984, Austin, Texas, United States)
Erin Hawkins is an artist, muralist, and graphic designer based in Macon, Georgia. She spent her formative years in Louisiana before calling Virginia home, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from James Madison University. For over a decade, she has created bold, hand-crafted visuals for businesses, homeowners, and public spaces. Through Mama Hawk Draws, she blends illustration, typography, and storytelling to create murals, branding, and artwork that are as vibrant as they are meaningful.
Working from her studio at Tanglewood Art Studios, Erin thrives on collaboration—whether designing a logo that captures a brand’s personality or transforming a blank wall into a striking mural. Her work is driven by a love of community, creativity, and the belief that great design should be both beautiful and impactful.

Kevin "Scene" Lewis (b.1975, Youngstown, Ohio, United States)
Kevin "Scene" Lewis is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in drawings, paintings, murals, and mixed media. Raised in the Tidewater area of southeastern Virginia, he was always drawn to art—preferring to doodle over anything else, especially in school. His love for comics led him to explore spray paint and graffiti, eventually guiding him to Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned a degree in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Illustration.
Kevin’s work is driven by formal associations, creating visuals that spark unique, subjective interpretations. Rather than adhering to strict logic, he emphasizes aesthetics and composition, encouraging viewers to form personal connections with his imagery. His artistic mission is to craft visuals that enhance experiences—whether paired with music, literature, or daily life—striving to leave a lasting impression through his art.
